It was shocking and so sad to see the beautiful cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris engulfed by flames.  Someone commented that you don’t expect such an iconic monument to succumb to disaster…
There is profound spiritual and emotional resonance in a place which has been prayed in for hundreds of years, where human artistry and skill in praise of God has drawn so many people to ponder and reflect.
May we pray for the people of Paris in a time of political turmoil, pray for the safety of the fire crews, pray for all for whom Notre Dame holds a significant place in their heart.
