April Fools’ Day – I wonder if I’ll be taken in by a hoax news story today…?
 
Some might say that it is foolish to believe in God… and that God loves us so much that God would choose to live among God’s people as a human being, be put to death by crucifixion, come back to life and conquer death and promise us eternal life.  According to St. Paul “… God’s foolishness is wiser than human wisdom, and God’s weakness is stronger than human strength”  (1 Corinthians 1:25).  I confess that I am a fool for Christ.  The refrain from a song called ‘Crazy’ by MercyMe goes like this:
 
“I have not been called to the wisdom of this world
But to a God who’s calling out to me
And even though the world may think
I’m losing touch with reality
It would be crazy
To choose this world over eternity”
